If you followed Vince’s career closely, it’s not a total surprise that he’s doing something like Skating With The Stars. He has done some questionable things in the past. When he’s not tied down with the Crue it’s pretty much anyone’s guess what Vince is going to do with himself. He has done lots of little things, but his first real venture was in 2002 when he starred on the first season of The Surreal Life. It showed him in a light we all expected but just never seen. He was always trying to stir something up with the house guests, and most of the time it was when he was drinking. Still, it was very amusing and got him back in the spotlight. He followed that up with 2004’s Remaking Vince Neil, which was a program that took the viewers into seeing what it’s like when someone goes through plastic surgery. It was controversial as many television viewers found is disturbing. Since then he’s had cameo appearances on several television shows, and last year it was announced that he was going to have his own reality show on A&E.
It was announced in early November that Vince was going to be one of the celebrities on this years Skating With The Stars (ABC). He was joined by other celebrities including Sean Young (“Blade Runner”, “No Way Out”), reality star Bethenny Frankel, Olympic gold medal skier Jonny Moseley, “All My Children” actress Rebecca Budig and Brandon Mychal Smith of the Disney Channel sitcom “Sonny With a Chance”. Skating With The Stars has the same concept as Dancing With The Stars. A celebrity is paired up with a professional dancer, or figure skater and each group performs every week. Also every week, the weakest of the group is eliminated. Vince Neil is paired up with professional figure skater Jennifer Wester, who is best known for her two first place finishes at the Midwestern sectionals.
